College Time

College Time

All students in the academy are part of a College group, commonly referred to as ‘CT groups’. Each CT group is led by a members of teaching staff and supported by another member of the academy. Students are placed in one of our 7 colleges when they join the academy, it is within these colleges that students are then placed into their College Group.

Students will stay with their College Tutor from Year 7 – Year 9, where their College Tutor will support them through their first two phases at Trinity. Supporting them to succeed in Graduation and Trinity Challenge. When students reach Year 10 they will receive a new college tutor, who will support them through their final phase at Trinity, ensuring they build a competitive Edge for their next steps and guiding them through their GCSEs.

College Time takes place every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 10.30am – 10.50am. This time provides the opportunity for students to engage in our Professional Standards curriculum, our Phase Initiatives, literacy and Christian values focus, as well as reflecting on the week and their successes.

We believe the time spend in College Time helps us support your child(ren) in becoming well-rounded human beings. It develops the students’ emotional and social wellbeing and ensures they receive the pastoral support needed to succeed at the academy.
